With effect from 1st January 2012, all Holiday or Business travelers to Sri Lanka must have an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for entering into Sri Lanka. Please visit http://www.eta.gov.lk for more information.
On arrival, visitors are required to satisfy the Immigration Authorities by proving that they have sufficient funds to cover their stay in Sri Lanka and the assurance of their departure within the allocated period for their stay.
Visitors should possess tickets and other documents for their onward / return journey.

Online Filling of the Arrival Cards (for Foreigners)
- Foreigners who are coming to the country will be able to complete their arrival cards online.
- Accordingly, air passengers have been facilitated to fill out this card online three days prior to their travel by visiting the official web site www.immigration.gov.lk of the Department of Immigration and Emigration or through the https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk web page.
