Aeronautical Information Publication  ( View eAIP )

Aeronautical information of a lasting character essential to Air navigation is published in Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) Sri Lanka. It contains details of regulations, procedures and other information pertinent to the operation of aircraft in Sri Lanka to which it relates. It is issued by AIM Unit on behalf of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) and constitutes the basic information source for permanent information and long duration temporary changes.

The structure and contents of the Publication are standardized by international agreement through ICAO. It has three parts - GEN (general), ENR (en route) and AD (aerodromes). It is issued in English and kept up-to-date by regular revision on a fixed cycle. For operationally significant changes in information, the cycle known as the AIRAC (Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control) cycle is used.
