Cinnamon Air, which is owned and operated by Saffron Aviation (Pvt) Limited, offers daily scheduled flights, Charter flights and Scenic flights upon request. The Airline is based out of Katunayake where it operates a dedicated domestic terminal (within the precincts of the BIA) and has its own purpose-built hangar and maintenance facilities.

Cinnamon Air is a joint venture between John Keells Holdings PLC, MMBL Leisure Holdings and Phoenix Ventures Ltd. The company has an Air Operator’s Certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL), to operate as a domestic airline offering scheduled and charter services. Having commenced operations in July 2013, Cinnamon air has been catering to the need of a premium domestic airline service in Sri Lanka.

All Cinnamon Air scheduled flights operate in code share with SriLankan Airlines, consequent to which they are also be available for sale throughout the SriLankan Airlines network and all Travel Agents around the world via Global Distribution Systems, under a “UL” designated flight number.
