INVITATION FOR BIDS

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR THE OPERATION OF A TEA SALES SHOP IN THE DEPARTURE/TRANSIT AREA AT THE BANDARANAIKE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, KATUNAYAKE

TENDER NO.0067/T/2023

Bids are invited from Registered Companies, Establishments or Individuals for Operation of a Tea Sales Shop in the Departure/Transit Area, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for a period of three years.  The Company will not consider any bids received Shop Operators who operate more than one shop at the Departure/Transit Area at BIA, Katunayake.
 
Terms and conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the Bidding documents. Bidding documents may be obtained on working days from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. up to 17th October 2023 from the office of Commercial & Properties Division, Room No.37, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake on payment of a non-refundable fee of  Rs.24,000.00 per set in cash with a request letter on a letter head of the Bidder. The Bidding Document could also be purchased from the web site of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited [AASL] www.airport.lk by making a non-refundable fee of Rs.24,000.00 through online payment. The Bidding Document will be available for inspection, free of charge at the office of Head of Commercial & Properties of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake.
 
Bids should be made only on Bidding forms issued by the Company and should accompany a bid bond for Rs.1,260,000.00 in the form of a bank draft or Bank Guarantee issued by a Commercial Bank or licensed specialized bank operating in Sri Lanka and approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, valid for 150 days from the date of opening of Bids or in cash. 
 
A Pre Bid Briefing followed by a visit to the location will be conducted at 1.30 p.m. on 05th October 2023.  Bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the Pre-Bid Briefing. Sealed  Bids shall be addressed to the Chairman, Tender Board No.1, Office of the Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake sent by Registered Post or should be deposited in the Tender Box No.1 placed at the office of Supply Chain Management Division.  Bids will be closed at 2.00 p.m. on 18th October 2023 and opened and read publicly thereafter at the office of the Supply Chain Management, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake. Any Bid received after the stipulated time of Bid closing will be rejected unopened.   Bidders or their duly authorized representatives may be present at the time of opening of Bids.
