INVITATION FOR BIDS

CONSTRUCTION OF CHAIN LINK FENCE AND BARBED WIRE FENCE FOR AIRPORT LAND NEAR TO 22 END AREA AT BIA

BID NO: 046/T/2023

    Chairman, on behalf of the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the “Construction of Chain Link Fence and Barbed Wire Fence For Airport Land Near to 22 End Area at BIA” as described below. The work to be carried out in accordance with the specifications, Bill of quantities and the drawings. The period of completion is Ninety (90) days from start date.

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding Procedure. 
To be eligible for contract award, the successful bidder shall not have been blacklisted and shall meet the following requirements:
Contractors registered for Grade C4 or C5 (Speciality in building construction) with the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA) with experience in similar works.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from Head of Civil Engineering (P&D), Civil Engineering (P&D) Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd., Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake on Telephone No. 011-2263502/011-2263503 and Facsimile No. 011-2251356 and inspect the bidding document at the Supply Chain Management Division- Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd., Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka from 9.00 hrs. to 15.00 hrs. on week days from 19.09.2023  to  10.10.2023.
A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the Chairman, Procurement Committee No.01, Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd., Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, from 19.09.2023 until 10.10.2023 from 09.00 hrs. to 15.00 hrs. upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rupees Twelve Thousand (Rs.12, 000.00)
The method of payment will be by cash.
Bids shall be delivered to the address - Chairman, Procurement Committee No. 01, Supply Chain Management Division, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd., Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka on or before 14.00 hrs on Wednesday the 11th October 2023. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened soon after closing in the presence of the bidders’ representatives.

All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security (on demand bid bond) in the amount of Rupees Five Hundred Thousand (Rs 500, 000.00) issued by Institutions listed in the Bid Document or a Cash Deposit should be submitted with the Bids. All Bidders and their designated representatives are invited to attend a pre –bid meeting, on 26.09.2023 at. 10.00 a.m. at Civil Engineering (P & D) Division Conference Room, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake.
