Rossiya Airlines Commences Flights to Colombo from Moscow

Rossiya Airlines commenced direct flights to Colombo from Moscow with a flight frequency of 5 days a week between Moscow and Colombo, except Wednesdays and Thursdays. Rossiya Airlines is a member airline of the Russian national carrier Aeroflot. The inaugural flight,SU 6265, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on 18 December 2018. Officials of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited and the MALDIVIANA AVIATION welcomed passengers, captain and the crew at the airport. 

Rossiya Airlines Joint Stock Company is a part of Aeroflot Group and is currently one of the largest air carriers of the Russian Federation. Rossiya-Russian Airlines, is a Russian airline headquartered in Saint Petersburg with its hub at Pulkovo Airport. It is based in Saint Petersburg, with additional hubs at Moscow Vnukovo International Airport, Rostov-on-Don Airport and Orenburg Tsentralny Airport. 

This route development will boost the tourism industry in Sri Lanka, enhancing Sri Lankan-Russian cooperation, and making the two countries even closer to each other.
