The Arabian Travel Market 2013 was held in Dubai from 6th to 9th May 2013. Promoting MRIA, Head of Marketing Mrs K. Munasinghe and CEO, MRIA Mr Derick Karunaratne participated at this event.

The AASL stall was under the umbrella of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau and many representatives from hospitality and travel industry in Sri Lanka also have operated stalls under SLTPB umbrella. While at ATM, CEO,MRIA and Head of Marketing, AASL have had discussions with CEO Qatar Airways, Mr Akbar Al Baker, President Rak Airways H.E.Eng. Murabit Al Sawaf, CEO Fly Dubai Mr. Ghaith Al Ghaith.

All the Airlines were very positive towards MRIA and Fly Dubai announced their operations to MRIA commencing from 22nd May with 03 frequencies and increasing upto daily frequencies from 1st June 2013.

The Travel industry was highly excited about MRIA as it was offering very convenient transfers to the Tourist Destinations in Southern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka. Within a few days, we will be able to see most of the International Tour/ Travel operators offering their packages in Sri Lanka via MRIA.
