BIA Continues to Facilitate the Arrival of Sri Lankan Students Stranded in Various Countries

Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) facilitated the arrival of the second and third batches of Sri Lankan students stranded in India and Nepal. SriLankan Airlines operated a special flight to bring home Sri Lankan students stranded in India and 101 Sri Lankan students arrived at 14:25 hrs on UL1146 from Ameristar, India, on 23rd April.
The third batch of Sri Lankan students stranded in Nepal arrived at 15:30hrs on UL1425, a special flight operated by SriLankan Airlines, from Kathmandu, Nepal on 24th April. Under this mission, 76 Sri Lankan students were brought back home.
BIA had made all arrangements to facilitate these arrivals and under the guidance of the health authorities, the military forces transferred all the passengers to the quarantine centers.
