Operation of Drone is Suspended

Considering the prevailing security situation of the country, operation of unmanned aircraft and drones within Sri Lankan air space has been prohibited by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka with immediate effect. The ban was imposed on 25th of April 2019 and will be in effect until further notice.
Accordingly, all the permits issued by the Civil Aviation Authority will be cancelled with immediate effect. Therefore, general public is kindly requested to avoid operating all types of unmanned aircraft and drones until further notice.
