Security Measures at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA)

Security at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has been further enhanced to ensure the safety and security of its users. There are no disruptions to the airport operations and all arriving and departing flights are operated as per schedule. 

Additional staff from all agencies are deployed at BIA and surrounding areas to strengthen the security at the airport. In view of these additional measures, Airport Management kindly advise all passengers to report to the airport at least four (04) hours prior to the departure time. 

Further, passengers are requested to avoid accompanying visitors to the airport as only the passengers are allowed into terminal building until further notice.

As all these measures are implemented to uphold the safety and security at BIA, the patience and understanding of its users in its implementation is greatly appreciated.
