UKRAINIAN AIRLINE COMMENCES DIRECT FLIGHTS TO COLOMBO

Achieving another remarkable milestone in Sri Lanka - Russia diplomatic relations, Ukraine�s second largest air carrier, AeroSvit Airlines commenced its direct flight operations from Kiev to Colombo, with effect from October 23rd.
The inaugural flight from Ukraine DV-175 landed in Sri Lanka on 24th of October 2011 at 2.10 a.m. with a total number of 214 passengers and the crew on board. The group was warmly welcomed by the official representatives of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau at the arrival lounge of BIA, with garlands and a very attractive traditional dance performance.
