Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy Holds 12th Diploma Awarding Ceremony

The Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy (SLAAA), the training arm of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL), successfully conducted the 12th Diploma Awarding Ceremony for its prestigious Diploma in Aviation Management programme (11 Months Course) on 24 June 2026 at the Academy's Main Auditorium, No. 64, Kandawala Road, Rathmalana.

A total of 16 students were awarded the Diploma in Aviation Management after successfully completing the academic programme, passing the final examinations, and undertaking an industrial project assignment at Bandaranaike International Airport.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. W. W. S. Mangala, Acting Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Civil Aviation, who attended as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by members of the Board of Directors, senior management and staff of AASL, Airport and Airlines professionals, diploma recipients, and their parents.

Recognized as one of Sri Lanka's most prominent nationally and internationally accredited aviation management programmes, the Diploma in Aviation Management is designed to develop competent aviation professionals equipped with the knowledge, practical skills, and managerial competencies required to meet the evolving demands of the global aviation industry.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated the graduates on their achievement and highlighted the importance of developing a highly skilled workforce capable of supporting the sustainable growth and competitiveness of Sri Lanka's aviation sector.

The successful completion of the programme reflects SLAAA's continued commitment to producing industry-ready professionals and strengthening human capital for both the national and international aviation industry.
