14 New Check-in Counters Introduced at BIA

Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL) marked a significant milestone with the introduction of 14 new check-in counters, launched on a trial basis at the newly constructed marquee at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). The facility was officially opened on 10 November 2025.
Completed within just one month, this facility stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and dedicated industry partners.
The initiative aims to ensure smooth airport operations and provide hassle-free convenience for passengers traveling through BIA during the winter season.
AASL is preparing to scale up operations soon, based on passenger demand, a significant step forward in enhancing the travel experience in Sri Lanka.
