New Chairman Assumes Duties at Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd

Eng. Athula Galketiya assumed duties as the Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd. on December 11, 2023.

He graduated from the University of Peradeniya with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1987 and has been a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka and a Chartered Engineer since 1991.

A respected and well-experienced engineering professional with over 34 years of experience in the engineering and management fields has contributed to the engineering construction field in Sri Lanka and internationally.

He was appointed as the first CEO of Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd. in 2011, the construction arm of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau. He also worked as the Team Leader of the Jointly Appointed Employers Quality Representative (JAEQR) for the Project Infrastructure and Landscaping Development of Colombo Port City from October 2021 to August 2022.

He became the 10th Chairman of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau and Central Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd. in August 2022, until he was appointed as Vice Chairman of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Ltd.

The AASL Board of Directors and other senior officials of AASL were present at the occasion.
