1. Tenders are invited from Companies, organizations, institutions and sole proprietors and service providers to operate shops at Departure Public Concourse, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake for sale of herbal products, travel utilities or other items demanded by air travelers as permitted by the Company. Any prospective Bidder can bid for all spaces in the same Bidding Document.

 

2. Terms and conditions and other details applicable will be issued with the Bidding documents. Bidding documents may be obtained on working days from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. up to 21st April 2011 from the office of Head of Commercial & Properties Division of AASL Room No. 33, 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka on a non-refundable payment of Rs 2,000/= per set in cash. The Bidding document will be available for inspection, free of charge at the office of Head of Commercial & Properties of Airport & Aviation (SL) Ltd, BIA, Katunayake,

 

3. Bids should be made only on Bid forms issued by the Airport and Aviation Services (SL) Ltd and should accompany a bid bond to the value of 45,000/- in the form of a bank draft, or an on demand Bank Guarantee valid for 150 days from the date of opening of Bids or in cash. Separate bid bonds should be furnished for each space for which bids are submitted.

 

4. A pre-tender briefing followed by a visit to the location will be conducted at 2.30 p.m. on 21st April 2011 Sealed Bids shall be addressed to the Chairman – Tender Board 1 , and sent by Registered Post or Hand Delivered to Supplies Office, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake,. Bids will be closed at 2.00p.m on 27th April 2011 and opened and read publicly thereafter at the Supplies Office, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, Sri Lanka. Any Bid received after the stipulated time of Bid closing will be rejected unopened. Bidders or their duly authorized representatives not exceeding two are requested to be present at the opening of Bids.

6. The Company reserves the right to reject any or all Bids without assigning any reasons and to waive, add or delete any requirement when in view of the Airport & Aviation Services (SL) Ltd., where said rejection, waiver, addition or deletion is in the best interest of the Company.
