Singapore-based Tiger Airways, a budget carrier, started flights to Colombo.
"We are pleased to announce the launch of our direct flights between Singapore and Colombo," Stewart Adams, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore said in a statement.
"This marks the launch of our second new route since the beginning of this year, and is part of our on-going push to expand our network and paw print in the region."
The airline will fly to Colombo on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. It will depart Colombo at 23.05 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 12.00 on Sundays.
Started in September 2004, Tiger Airways operates a fleet of 32 Airbus A320 and hubs out of Singapore and Australia.
