Hon. Piyankara Jayaratne who was appointed as the new Minister of Civil Aviation Services visited Bandaranaike International Airport for the first time after assuming duties.

The new Minister stated that he was happy of the portfolio handed over by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa, to serve his best in a sector where several mega development projects have been launched aiming the future socio-economic development of the country.

Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation Services Mr. K.C.P.Ranjith De Silva, Chairman of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Ltd Mr. Prasana Wickramasuriya, Vise Chairman of AASL Mr. Kamal S Ratwatte, Executive Director of AASL Mr.Johanne Jayaratne also participated at the occasion.
